What You'll Do
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role is accountable for reporting outputs, reporting standards, technical accounting and external disclosures. This role is designed as a technical and reporting position, acting as the hands-on technical lead, raising standards through example and direct ownership of complex areas.
In our small team, ownership means personally preparing core deliverables and being accountable for their accuracy and timeliness, not delegating or reviewing others’ work.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Reporting and Audit
Prepare monthly bookings reporting
Owning the accuracy of monthly PBI reporting dashboards
Own statutory accounts and external investor reporting from start to finish, including preparing and completing a large portion of the fieldwork
Act as primary point of contact for external auditors and advisors
Ensure on‑time, clean audit opinions
Financial close
Prepare the monthly intercompany accounting, consolidation and cashflow report
Prepare accounting elements of the monthly reporting deck
Partner with the Finance Manager to improve close accuracy, automation, and documentation
Own accounting treatment for strategic partner relationships, benefits, and rebates.
While the Finance Manager coordinates the close, this role is fully accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all areas they prepare, including resolution of issues and audit queries. This role is a deep individual-contributor position and technical expert.
Accounting and technical expertise
Own accurate accounting for revenue recognition, accruals, provisions, share‑based compensation, and complex contracts.
Draft and maintain accounting policies in line with IFRS / US GAAP (as applicable).
Evaluate new products, commercial models, acquisitions and contracts for accounting impact.
Integrate opening balances from acquired businesses and own acquisition accounting.
Completing certain elements of due diligence where required
Tax
First point of contact for international tax compliance and responsible for draft tax computations
Playing a key role in global tax compliance, including transfer pricing and US tax filings
Preparing quarterly VAT returns
Act as primary point of contact for tax authorities
What we're looking for
Qualified Accountant (3-5 years post-qualified experience)
US GAAP qualified or significant US GAAP experience
2+ years of total experience working in industry
In-depth knowledge and practical application of Netsuite or equivalent ERP and Microsoft Excel
Excellent technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
Good knowledge of US and UK international corporate tax and transaction tax compliance
Good knowledge of the Ad-Tech industry would be a plus
Proven ability to personally prepare complex accounting outputs and stand behind them with senior stakeholders and auditors.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and develop effective solutions
